 The 2007 Annual General meeting was held at Huntington Park Recreation Centre.
Agenda:
1. To discuss successes and issues during the 2007 season
2. Elect a new council for the 2008 season
Hilites:
A very disappointing turnout with only 3 non council people and 8 - 2007 council members in attendance.
The President of Templemead Soccer requested that the 2008 Quinndale council consider a merger of the Quinndale and Templemead soccer programs as he is stepping down after many years of volunteering. There are no volunteers to replace him. The 2008 Quinndale council will consider the request, but lack of volunteers at both parks would make it extremely difficult to achieve.

The 2008 council is looking for volunteers to fill the 2 vacant positions as well additional people to assist with Fundraising, Shed, Referee and Equipment duties. The Council will be considering a number of new initiatives for 2008 season, but without extra help these initiatives will not be achievable. Please consider volunteering a few hours a month. Your children will be pleased that you did!

Come and participate in the Final Day of the 2007 Quinndale Soccer season on Saturday September 8th. Championship Games start at 9:30am and run to 4pm. Everyone welcome - Bring your relatives and friends. Help support Quinndale Community Youth Soccer.
Activities include:
- Each Player will receive their Trophy after their Division's Championship game has been completed.(Game times are posted in a separate bulletin on this website).
-Players will be provided food and refreshments and a few activity coupons.
-Carnival activities, including a Bouncer, Hoops game, Train ride and more will run from 11:30am to 3:30pm. Bring extra money so you can enjoy the whole day.
- Food and beverages will available for sale for all spectators.
- Draw for 4 free 2008 Soccer Registrations (for all that Pre-registered only).
- and much much more.
Volunteers needed - visit the Candy Shed soon to sign up for a hour or so.

Soccer is for meant to be FUN FOR THE CHILDREN, whether it’s during the regular season or during PLAYOFFS! Quinndale Council encourages everyone to remember this during the final games of the season.
Let the Referees do their job without harassment. Coaches, Parents and Spectators, please provide only positive encouragement from the sidelines. Let the players play the game!
Fair Play and the City’s Zero Tolerance policies will be enforced during the playoffs!
Also, players must only wear the League uniform during games or they will not be able to play.

Pre-Registration for the 2008 season will take place during the playoff games, weather permitting, at the Blue Canopy, which will be located at the northeast of the field, 6 to 9 pm, during the evening playoff games starting Monday August 27th and during Championship / Fun Day, Saturday September 8th, from 10am to 4pm.
Cost to Pre-Register for the 2008 season is $85.00 per child (a reduction of $10 from last season). Those who pre-register, will have a chance to win 1 of 4 free Registrations for the 2008 season. Draw to be held on Championship/Fun Day at 4 pm at the Candy shack.
Cost of Registration after September 8th 2007 will be $105.00
We encourage you to sign up now – the league was full this year - many children were turned away.

2007 Playoff schedule
1st place team plays 4th team, 2nd place team plays 3rd place team, during the week of August 27th as per the league schedule. Check with your coaches to confirm the dates of your games. Flyers will be handed out to the players starting Wednesday August 22nd.
Winning teams play in the Championship games on:
Saturday September 8th at:
Senior 3 -9:30 am
Junior -10:30 am
Inter tier 1 -11:45 am
Inter tier 2 -12:45 pm
Senior 1 -2 pm
Senior 2 -3 pm
Losing teams play in the Consolation games on:
Wednesday Sept. 5th:
Inter tier 1 -6pm
Inter tier 2 -7pm
Senior 3 -8pm
Thursday Sept. 6th:
Junior -6pm
Senior 1 -7pm
Senior 2 -8pm
Note: Overtime and shoot outs, if required, may delay the start of games

Correction to website information.
Back in April/May the original plan was to have Championship/Fun day on Saturday September 15th. Some of the information on this website referred to that original date.
The date was changed prior to issuing the schedules for the season. The correct date, as noted on your Division schedule, is Saturday September 8th. Start times for each Division's Championship game will be posted in the coming weeks.
Championship/Fun day is currently being planned by Quinndale Community Council. Trophies, food and drinks for all the players. Fun, games and other activities being planned for all. More information to follow.

Come join us for a Fund Raising Barbeque at the Soccer Pitch!
Doug's Dogs (team sponsor) will set up his Barbeque wagon on Tueday June 12th and Wednesday June 13th near the Candy Shack from 6pm to 8pm. He will be selling Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, and Sausage. Drinks available at the Candy Shack. Part of the sales goes to the Quinndale Soccer program.

Timeless Images - one of our sponsors, will be at the Park during the week of June 11th to take Team and individual photos. The Team photo is included in the cost of Registration. Those parents wanting individual player photos are to fill out the request form at the photo section scheduled for your child's team. The individual photo(s) are subject to a nominal fee. The Coaches are handing out the Photo request forms during the week of June 4th. Please take note of the scheduled time.

Many thanks to you Rocco for all the hard work in keeping Quinndale alive and breathing long enough to pass it on in decent shape to Mark, Sharon, Pam, Dave and the rest of the council. They have their work cut out for them. We miss you already (I know Mark does more than all of us) and we all wish you well in your new community - they don't know what they're getting!!!
You laid the foundation for another fun filled season of Soccer at our little park and I hope we can continue to keep it alive.
